Westminster Cathedral in London is the Holy Mother Church of Catholicism in the UK. The site of the cathedral was originally a marshland known as Bulinga Fen, and was reclaimed by Benedictine monks. The present cathedral was completed in 1903 and was designed by John Francis Bentley and was built in the Byzantine Revival style. The cathedral is home to some really beautiful mosaics, including the Holy Family mosaic that can be found in the Chapel of St. Joesph.
