These designs are re-drawn from stained glass windows at Freiburg Cathedral and make lovely inexpensive gifts and souvenirs. Freiburg Cathedral is situated in the Black Forest, in Germany. Building work started around 1200 in the Romanesque style, and continued in 1230 in the Gothic style. Freiburg Cathedral has a wonderful church tower that stands at 116 metres, and is the only tower from the Middle Ages to survive to the present. It is home to come really wonderful stained glass – the nave windows were donated by the towns guilds and their symbols can be seen featured in the designs.
