Santiago Cathedral
Santiago Cathedral, or the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, in located in in north-west Spain. The cathedral marks the end of The Camino de Santiago, a pilgrimage to the church as it is the alleged burial place of Saint James, one of Jesus’ apostles. Santiago Cathedral was built in the Romanesque style in 1075 with additions in the Baroque and Gothic style. Inside the Cathedral is a wonderful stained glass window depicting Saint James and lots of images of scallop shells, the symbol of The Camino de Santiago.
