Angel (St Bee's Priory Church) Static Window Cling

AngelThere is evidence that St Bees was a religious site prior to the Normans but no buildings from that time remain. The name St Bees comes from 'Kirkeby Becock', meaning Chruch town of Bega. While it isn't known for sure, St Bega is thought to be an Irish princess who escaped from the prospect of an arranged marriage. She is said to have remained at St Bees, leading a pious life. This lovely brightly coloured angel and child sit above the two panelled window in St Bee's Priory Church.
