Knight (Tewkesbury Abbey) Static Window Cling

KnightThe site of Tewkesbury Abbey has been a place of worship since the 7th Century before the priory was founded by nobleman Robert FitzHamon in 1087. After the War of the Roses the abbey was closed to be re-consecrated as a result of bloodshed in the building following the Battle of Tewkesbury. The church is famous for its medieval stained glass but also has some wonderful Victorian stained glass and a lovely window by Tom Denny, 2002, to celebrate the 900th anniversary of the coming of Benedictine monks coming to Tewkesbury.
