Rose Window (Guildford Cathedral) Static Window Cling

Rose WindowGuildford Cathedral was built between 1936 and 1961, with building work halting during WW2, as is one of three cathedrals built in the 20th Century. It sits atop of Stag’s Hill, named such as the King used to hunt there, and it’s bricks are made from clay taken from the hill. It was built in the Neo-Gothic and Art Deco style, designed by Sir Edward Maufe. Guildford Cathedral has fewer the average stained glass windows, but has a beautiful Rose Window centred around an image of the Holy Spirit, designed by Moira Forsyth.
