Hexham Abbey

Stained glass designs available as 'Static Cling' window decorations

Hexham Abbey
Hexham Abbey was built in its current form in the 12th century, but there has been a church on the site for over 1300 years, dating back to 679 AD. The Abbey has had a lively history, having been raided by Vikings in the 9th Century and attacked by ‘Braveheart’ William Wallace in 1296. There is a wonderful variety of stained glass at Hexham Abbey, including the Tyrrell Window, a colourful modern piece by Alan Davis.
