Winchester Cathedral

Stained glass designs available as 'Static Cling' window decorations

Winchester Cathedral
Winchester Cathedral is the longest Gothic cathedral in Europe, at 170 metres. The site has been a site for worship since 642 AD, known as Old Minster - it was here that St. Swithun was buried before being moved inside of the new cathedral in 1093. In 1817 Jane Austen was buried in the cathedral, her funeral was attended by only four people. Winchester Cathedral is home to some wonderful Pre-Raphaelite windows by Edward Burne-Jones, including the lovely Annunciation window in the Epiphany Chapel.
