Bosworth Battlefield
Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre is a museum dedicated to the last noteworthy battle of the War of the Roses. The Battle of Bosworth Hill was fought between Richard III of York, whose battle standard featured the white boar, and Henry Tudor (later Henry VII) whose standard featured the red dragon. The centre opened in 1974 and houses interactive displays and host guided walking tours to tell the story of Monday 22nd August 1485 which marked the beginning of the Tudor dynasty.
