Madonna

Stained glass designs available as 'Static Cling' window decorations

Madonna
‘Madonna’ is the name given to the Virgin Mary, mother of Jesus. Usually Mary is shown wearing blue, and this tradition can be traced back to 500 AD when the colour was used to symbolize an ‘empress’ and the material used to achieve this colour was more expense than gold. Mary has been worshipped and adored since the 2nd century and there are many wonderful illustrations of her worldwide.
