Sheffield Cathedral

Stained glass designs available as 'Static Cling' window decorations

Sheffield Cathedral
Sheffield Cathedral was built as a parish church in 1220, but over the years has grown and in 1914 was elevated to cathedral status. As a result of rebuilding and expansion over the years the cathedral has become a mix of Gothic and Modern architecture. It is home to the lovely Lantern Tower, which was added in the 1960s to improve lighting. The stained glass in the Lantern Tower was replaced by abstract glass by Amber Hiscott in 1998 and is wonderful.
